Good write up in Wikipedia, that matches what I've read in some geophysics journals.
Not a hugely active area as it's a plate boundary more or less in the middle of the North American Plate, but it can still go boom!
For anyplace on plate boundaries, it's just a matter of time. Mostly a long time. But things happen.
