We're overdue for one of those, too.
Then again, if the plates in the subduction zone off Washington state does what they have done before, a big tsunami will rush inland.
California is gonna get one or more really big quakes. Sometime.
And anyone of us could get t-boned by some dweeb who's texting while blowing through a red light in a 6000 pound SUV.
You can't worry about this stuff.
