And Ford (and GM) should do the educating.
Problem is, most Americans tend to ignore their cars. They were spoiled by cars that could get by with indifferent maintenance. Now that they want both power and economy turbos makes sense but people won't like having to pay a bit more attention to pesky litte things like oil changes and using the proper oil.
Hopefully Ford and GM will calibrate the oil change service reminders to go off at 5K miles and not go out until the oils is changed. But they won't.
We have all had the pleasure of owning the best turbocharged cars ever made and understand the added care and feeding required. We're used to it and don't think much about it. People new to turob motors are going to have to climb the learning curve.
