It's a later review comparing both FWD/AWD unless you are cherry_picking.

Remember the results are on par with a 9-5 sedan, but the Encore hauls more. The 500 lbs heavier 9-5 wagon will be slower. The 9-5 produces 70% of peak torque or about 144 lb-ft, while the Ecore produces almost 150 ft-lbs from 1900-5000. You buy horsepower, and drive torque.
Here is another review with 15-20 minute video that is more insightful than any of the magazine reviews.
