Been using their machines for 10 or so years now. My first wife actually purchased one which I was totally against due to using Oreck stuff...... It took me about 30 seconds to see how superior the dyson is.
Since that time I have replaced the one at my house with a new ball dyson and also use a dyson ball at one of my fun homes which is 12-14k sq ft of carpet...... And have a standard dyson at my other fun home where I have someone else besides myself doing the cleaning.
There are better sweepers out there which do a better job cleaning, some use water to collect all the dust however for me the dyson Is all I need. They run for years and its so nice not having bags to replace........
W/O a doubt I prefer the ball over the standard one. Yes it does come across a little awkward when its first used however once the operator understands how to make the sweeper turn its a lot easier. Makes it a lot easier getting under stuff like chairs..... And also how going from a wood floor to carpet nothing needs to be done, it self adjusts.....
