Hyundai and Kia are doing extremely well from a sales perspective and that can largely be attributed to product improvements, not just the low prices. The new cars have started to develop their own design language, and that is good... or at least a heck of a lot better than their thin veneers of the past (see Amanti below)!
However, my point was that their "copies" are rarely as clean from a design perspective as the original. I don't actually care for the AeroX design, but it is fairly clean and well thought out. This (and others) just looks like a garish attempt to copy and is really not at all appealing to me aesthetically. If they make it and it is fast and cheap and full of tech and whatnot, sure people will buy it... but not the sort of people who would buy a Porsche... Kia makes value propositions, not works of art. I'm not saying there is necessarily anything wrong with that - obviously people buy the Juke or the Azteck and this is not as visually unappealing as those cars... but my response is more "meh" than eating my heart out to be honest... A show car is supposed to be innovative or cool... this is just meh imho...
In a few years cheap Chinese knockoff cars will eat into Kia/Hyundai's market share just like they did to Honda/Toyota... and I won't be interested in those cars either...
