Which one can boot from on a dead pc just like a floppy. After the boot up on the xp cd it will ask what do you want to do, repair current operating sys or install a fresh copy. I didnt have any clue he was using d drive to restore the entire operating sys and had no software bootup tools, in fact I really don't know what he did after reading his thanks post, being the tec. said there was no files in his program files meaning the windows file was also missing which is super crazy because how the heck did the tec get the p.c. running to know the windows file was missing.
Running xp without service pack 3 leaves the p.c. susceptible to the allure virus, which I was betting the p.c. had no service pack installed at all.
would have been fun getting the p.c. running but it was tossed at the tec.s shop. I realized after his royally screwed post he was using d drive to try and fix the p.c. and wasn't using the cd. which lead me to the last known config option to get the p.c. running to do a sys restore to an earlier date. Its hard to know what's going on with a system when your not there which leaves me most of the time biting my tongue.

I`m made a copy of the Genuine xp cd, and burnt the copy as a boot-able cd. the copy can not boot up a dead p.c. How the Genuine xp cd can I haven't a clue. I made the copy perfect in every way but still I`m eluded on how the Genuine cd can, And if his p.c. was able to run but left as a dead shell after the attack of an allure virus one can still open up the Genuine xp cd and find the ntldr file with-in cd, copy and paste it, in their missing windows file on their p.c. in win/32 and it will work.
Mi-Roger is a nuclear engineer if I remember right and I thought he would of knowen this. But clearly he didnt.
