But the XP CD was in a sealed sleeve with no Admin Password. Dell didn't include the PW with the machine and CDs five years ago.

So that left me with the reinstall option.

The restore did work, I just didn't dig deep enough to find it on the C drive.

I knew I would have to update to Win 7 soon. Last night's issues made it happen a little sooner.
