eg, there is a 2002 viggen (winter garaged), a 2008 9-3 aero stick, and numerous others that are automatics (including a new one).

Sometimes it is worth it (if you are picky) to find the right car nation-wide and get it shipped to you. Iirc, you are in NY, so the new one is across the country, but the other 2 are in New England. Weekend project. I traveled >4 hours each way for each of my Saabs. Hmm, there is also a low milage 2010 automatic combi in NY.

Alternatively if you can get a good deal locally, and put up with (or restore) a few imperfections... that usually is the most economical approach... so long as you are careful of what one needs to fix (ie no rust).
