If you're looking for an electric water heater, the brand you want is Marathon. They've got plastic tanks! Really... Google it.

You can laugh all you want about plastic tanks, but your Saab has a plastic gas tank - do you think it'll ever rust?

The house I grew up in was built in the mid-1940's and actually had a (gas) water heater with a *copper* tank! When my mother sold the house in 2000 the WH was still there and working perfectly with no leaks.
