Given than it is almost impossible to get decent 1080 content even now - almost 20 years after 1080 first broadcast. The so called HDTV crap they feed at cable (or Netflix/iTunes/Google play/Amazon) is typically 2 GB/hour - compared to ~9 GB/hour for over-the-air broadcasts and up to 20 GB/hour for bluray. The public does not care or cannot tell the difference - so not a big chance they will start wasting bandwidth on 4k broadcasts (although it is possible they will release something called 4k at a fraction of required bandwidth - just to make a claim that they support 4k).
Btw - I find it amusing that someone still watching CRT wants 84" 4k TV.
The only good application for 4k I have seen so far is for computer monitors - e.g. 40" monitor is equivalent to four 20" hdtv multi-monitor arrangement.
