Yeah, mine are Whirlpool and doing ok. I've gotten my moneys worth. The warranty on the washer was about $75. Once, the gasket got torn up, replacement required not only a new gasket, but replacement of the drum and belt. A two man job, but Sears (they have contract in this area) only sent 1 person. Had too wait an hour for the other guy to show up. Too make matters worse, they don't remove the old parts (drum and washer tub). The repairmen said they make nice planters and burn basins (stainless steel tub). They were right, my roses love the tubes. That repair would have cost more than the purchase of a new washer. I don't always by a warranty, but if its less than 15%-20% and the item is pricy (especially appliances with electronic control boards and that's about everyone), I usually get them.
