I already have one more car than garage space, I need space for one or more additional vehicles with work/tool space. Subdivision lots and zoning won't allow construction of a remote garage, rental storage units are generally too small with automatic monthly increases in fees to prevent long term storage, I may need space for an enclosed trailer too, a place that will allow vehicle maintenance/repair on premises without violating rules, and security against theft.
What have others done with these or similar restrictions? Other than moving.........
The least expensive local 10x15 unit is $105/month and that would only hold a very small car. Their 10x20 rents for $145/month.
I have an idea, maybe a crazy one, but want to solicit ideas from others.
The crazy idea offers 1,000 square feet of T-shaped space, 42 feet wide, with security and 12 foot ceilings, for $325/month. I am nearly 100% certain that on-site maintenance and repairs would not be an issue. The price originally seemed high but it could accommodate far more than just two cars and a trailer.
