My cousin, a woman who would rather take a Bondurant driving course than a luxury cruise recently bought a 25th ed Maxima SE. Very nice car, good ride, power, interior. However she has had a number of minor, but nagging and potentially expensive issues... First, the reverse lockout would not let her engage reverse without much hassle. Had to esentially rebuild tranny to remedy that, but only after getting months of "its not a bug, it's a feature" from her dealer. Apparently this is not uncommon. Second, climate control will not stay fixed. I do not remember the exact problem, but she has had it in to her dealer six times since it was new for this problem (A/C condenser or compressor maybe?). She really enjoys the "behind the wheel" aspects of the car, but tells me she wouldn't buy snother one just because of nagging problems.
