Josh,
To be honest I will have to go with the posts of some of the others. If you dad has driven Toyota's for so long a Saab probably won't be what he wants. It is my experience that a Corolla or Camry are not real driver's cars. They are like being in a tomb, you can't hear or feel much of anything from the road. A Saab as you know is much more responsive and gives you positive feedback. Also windnoise in a Saab is something that a Toyota person with probably find offensive, although it is getting much improved now. While I think the Saab is a great choice for them, I don't feel they will appreciate the car in the long run. Plus god forbid it does end up needing something done out of warrantee you will hear about it. Who needs that. Stick to Toyota or some other Jap Tomb of a car.
