Have you looked at the consulting firms? When I graduated the economy was just coming out of the slump (early 90s) and jobs were slim for graduates. I also went to a good school and actually added Information Systems (Dropped Economics) to my major as a second major so that I could get on the rotation for the Big 6 consulting firm interviews. Sure enough, even in the bad economy, these firms were hiring, albiet in small numbers.
The management consulting firms are a great place to start because they will provide a broad experience across many industries. They generally pay very well. They look good on your resume when you go for that next job and the travel is fun when you are single and on the go. I wouldn't trade that start to my career for anything.
