Thanks for all the responses. Lots of good info. This seems like a salient thread for a lot of people.
As for everyone’s suggestions, consulting is definitely an option, and I have a couple interviews lined up, but they often seem to prefer someone with a more technical background. Industrial Psych is an interesting idea. I never really considered using my psychology major to get into a career, but I’m intrigued now. I’ll certainly think of it should I look into grad school at some point. I like the idea of temping to make ends meet once I graduate if I don’t find a regular job right away. Thanks Ryanathp. Better to have work than credit card debt as Roman says.
As far as grad school goes, I’m not really considering it right now for a couple of reasons. One, of course, is the cost. As others have mentioned I don’t really know what sort of grad field I would want to go into, and thus think that grad school would be a bit of a waste until I find out more about what I like in the working world. Business or law are consideration for the extended future.
I’ll take everyone’s thoughts into consideration and let everyone know how it goes.
Thanks again,
Craig Ferguson
