I have a Weber Silver B model (shoulda got the C model) and it is bullet proof. I rolls easily so I move it around and the Silver C models should roll OK too as long as you arent' connecting to a fixed propane source.
Those inverted-V "flavorizer bars actually work pretty well. You need to cooka a few meals to get them seasoned up with some drips from cooking, but they do the job.
I cook on charcoal on the grilles at our summer swim/tennis club and it's great, but fro most foods I don't notice a whole lot of difference compared to using the Weber with those bars. But charcoal is nice for some foods, especially if you use something different like mesquite and are slow cooking. If you want both, get a Weber gas and a Weber kettle for charcoal. Don't know anything about the new model but it sounds interesting.
For my money, anything Weber can't be bad. Been through a lot of cheap grilles and there is a real difference.
