A SMBC will allow you to have fast spool-up and you will not be jacking with the peak pressures and the ECU will be fine. I have installed on manual and autobox 9-5 Aeros and 9-3 T7s.
You will adjust to the red line and perhaps a tiny bit more. Going further will have the ECU closing the TB to fight that. You will also get full boost in the lower gears instead of reduced boost.
Gains are way more impressive with the manual gear box applications than autoboxen. That is because the autobox+turbo has a synergy that the manual gear box does not have.
Do you need a source for a SMBC or you will use a ball-spring MBC with the vent orifice removed or plugged? Either will work fine.
