Okay, from your list below I see what you were saying. I'm not trying to say that Saab hasen't done an impressive job, because they certainly have and that's an impressive list--especially considering how driveable they've been able to things.
T-7 update, I'm 99% sure that I cracked the checksums last week. I can now modify data sets without throwing a check engine light at start-up and going into limp home mode. I'm still tracing through the subroutines though and trying to find a hook into relating the variable names (which I have) and their relative address assignments. I've cleared a major major hurdle but there's a bunch more to go. So as of today I could go in there and start changing things to measure the cars reaction, but I'm not going to do that. When I begin to make changes I want to know what I'm changing and use that to verify what I've traced through the programming--rather than the other way around.
