Yes, the camshafts lift is basically what gives the camshafts the names.
But it is not all of the story, as the camshaft timing is also slightly different. And there are more cam profiles around from various companys. I remember the Isky camshafts are/were? quite common and popular in the US? We also have some more companys in Europe doing camshaft regrinds.
Question is again, what is the intention for the engine build?
Do you want a race engine for track or rally / competitive use?
Or do you want an engine for road use, just a bit more power and torque?
