still be in the hole with the new one for a long time...... Especially if you are paying near sticker to be out of the current ride when others are starting from the incentive price.
On the other hand, it would be a fun car for a long time, too. I saw some demo 2004's w/really low miles but now certified at some of the local dealers. If I were in your shoes, and trying to jump out of your current ride, I'd look that way. The long warranty makes up for a lot of the concern with the expenses along the way.
You'd be upside down for just as long, but you'd have the warranty to cover you most of the way out of debt. And short of coming up with the cash, or continuing to be negative your only way out is to hold it for a long time till you've evened up on the payments. Which would be a good feeling....
