Greetings to the Netherlands. As a native Texan, I know alot of Europeans
are puzzled about George Bush & his environmental stand. You have to first
realize that here in the U.S., the mainstream media is pretty much control-
led by the left. Rabid environmentalism is the new home of the left, with
little tolerance for conflicting views. Bush is just one of many who open-
ly challenges some of the assertions made by the left on environmental
policies. There are hundreds of scientists in Europe & the U.S. who do not
agree with alot of the global warming & ozone depletion arguments. Do you
ever see them interviewed on the U.S. news shows? Of course not!
I believe the environmental movement we are dealing with today is the biggest threat we face to our lifestyles. The earth is not fragile! Man is
not that powerful! Automobile emissions are infinetely cleaner than 10-20 years ago! We need sound science substantiated by fact. We don't need social activists who hide behind the environmental movement to realize their ultimate goals. Power! Power over the lives of people who prosper & produce wealth.
Sorry for the speach. It just amazes me that so many people buy this stuff
without challenging it first. Personally, I think the Sun & the increasing
sunspot activity is a very underreported angle to all of this. Keep in mind
our summers are often 105F plus. We know when it's getting even hotter!
