Hello,
Yes the Tech 2 is worth getting, even the Chinese knock-offs. Real Tech 2's often break aswell. I have both but use the Chinese ones 99% of the time. As far as a key you will need security access as well. The TIS program to run security access is temperamental. But the Tech 2 will give you access to every module and you will be happy to have that at some time in your ownership. Good Luck, Bernie
