OK update time, yes its been 2 years since my engine decided to say no mas and its been a journey to say the least but the car is fixed , it seems the culprit was a bad ECM that caused all the issues , not the plugs at all. a Saab fan sourced me a new engine and it was really him pushing me not to give up on the car. sourcing a used engine is a PITA, there were several rejected. I hope to pick it up in a few weeks and have the top down on the drive home which will be about 6 hours. SO I will be back in a Saab again, the one I bought to replace this one has become my kids car and I have been driving a Volvo c30 for the last 9 months or so. I have not gone back and reread everyone's comments but if you had a bad ECM give your self a gold star.
