swipe. Going the other way (decreasing sensitivity) will not recalibrate.

In a light mist or where water is being kicked up by cars in front of me after the rain is stopped, I find it doesn't work as well. But it's worth it to have the auto dim rear AND SIDE view mirrors (not to mention the park assist) in the visibility package (at least in 2003). I hate driving any other car on a road trip at night now.
