So - I wavered from my 900 collection to add an 06 9-5 wagon for my son, hoping to pass on the SAAB bug. Car was definitely from a flipper who picked it up at auction, which raised all kinds of flags for me that I ignored after looking over the car fax and seeing it was locally owned in a fairly wealthy area locally and seemed to be in good shape.

Fairly quickly, we noticed a power steering leak that has yet to be addressed. Additionally, after driving it briefly to his girlfriends, it would crank but not start. He left it for 15 minutes and came back and it started. I think he had put regular gas in the tank for the first time, and has since moved back to premium.

After sitting a week over Thanksgiving, he drove it to school yesterday. When he came out after, it would crank but not start. I drove over to take a look and the power steering reservoir was basically empty. We filled it up and tried starting it again hoping that would correct the issue. When trying to start, the car kind of moved like it was almost in gear. Very odd. We couldn't get it started and gave up.

Before I have it towed somewhere, I am wondering if there are any suggestions on what to check?
