Before you do that. Separate the gear box (black part on top side of photo with the big shaft) from the motor proper (silver stuff on other side). That’s where you will see a thin spindle and small gear. Make sure the gear is pushed down on the thin spindle so the outer surfaces are flush. That’s where dmz’s fix is. Motor turns but may be slipping against resistance.
And make sure the stop arm is not cracked at all!
