1. Forget about fuel filter - clogged fuel filter will show itself only at maximum throttle. It will work just fine for starting the engine.
2. Do you see the tach needle move during cranking. If not start re-checking the CPS. Also may try to read RPMs with Obd2 scanner. The ECU must detect the engine spinning - otherwise there will be no spark and no injector pulses.
3. You may try to take the DIC out, put spark plugs in it, ground them and crank the engine when it is dark outside. This will let you see it spark plugs are firing.
4. No need to spray starting fluid after MAF - just spray it direct into the intake snorkel. By the time it passes through the air filter it will be all vaporized (if you worry about damaging the MAF).
