Hi!

The local garage said as much about the fuel filter, because the problem happened over night. Parked while running - next morning no firing whatsoever (but cranks fine.)

I wasn't sure if starting fluid would work on a car this (ahem) modern. I've seen it used once, some 30 years ago, on a Volvo that was old even then. Haven't seen it since.

Because of the stories I believed the DICs are very sensitive creatures. Wouldn't it harm the DIC in any way when one tries to use them outside of the engine??

I had the car trailered to a local Saab garage. They will look into it when they can, but they're fully booked for 6 weeks. :( Due to circumstances I haven't got the time, alas.

Thank you for responding and thank you for the tips! Will let you know how this turns out.
