I LOVE my '85 SPG
I bought it 6 years ago from another SAAB nut who kept it in almost pristine condition.
Since then I've but 10k miles on it (now at 158k) Obviously it's not my daily driver but I do enjoy it most nice days.
I've replaced the shocks, waterpump, harmonic balancer, and head gasket. Fairly typical for a 24 year old car.
The only wiring issue I've had is at the Hall Sensor (again, typical) but nothing else yet.
It's ALWAYS a roll of the dice when buying one, and I don't just mean 85s'.
Drive it, enjoy it, maintain it, and you should be fine.
