I bought the Hayg 0 580 254 984 // that's the internal check valve style. Spitting image of the Bosch. They also make a ...909 model with an external check valve which would be more accurate for an '82 I guess.. but with a new banjo bolt the conversion now fits under the circle cover plate. I could not source a proper pickup screen set-up for this early pump style so I custom made one using the neck of a water cooler bottle and a mesh bag I bought for steeping hops in a home brew... both are gasoline-proof. Hopefully I will find a proper pickup at some point.
The pump listing claims it runs at 72.5 psi which for a 8v non-turbo seems in spec according to Bentley. Might not deliver for turbo.
I will get the bits to assemble a pressure tester because at this point I am really really curious how the rebuilding of the WUR and FD on my kitchen table panned out statistically. When I do the test I will post the numbers back here for sure.
