So this morning I've determined that my eBay/YouTube assisted fuel distributor rebuild was a 25% failure... -or- a 75% success!!
The 'out port' feeding the cylinder 4 injector line is stuck full open. To be certain I swapped injectors (3 and 4)and the wide open spray remained on cylinder 4. Also, my idle setting for the mix adjustment screw was way too low, so at idle no other injector sprayed at all and 4 remained screaming at full.
I'm hesitant to open any of those caps on top of the distributor that I guess contain an adjustment for the flow out // probably adjusting the height of that little hat in there creating more or less pressure down on the steel diaphragm.
Anybody adjust those? I figure before removing the fuel distributor and cracking the case again it couldn't hurt to see if tweaking that screw helps.
I'll update this post tonight as I realize I am half thinking out loud as I type.
