Hi All,
Little update. Replaced the oil tube brackets in the head and the head is a lot quieter. Found a skinny upper (in the valve cover), chain guide from a Volvo site of all places. It was an aftermarket piece from a company called 'swag'. Seems like good quality. No more chain noise.
Reset the idle, fitted the AID I found and the car is performing a lot better. Much more consistent boost up to the stock 10psi. (Running a conservative 17 degrees at idle down to 10 degrees full boost). I still have a slight occasional miss at hot idle though. Almost as if the oil is getting too thin and draining from a cam follower. Still haven't ruled out the distributor at this point also.
Thanks for all the advice.
