Good thoughts, those; thank you.

I finally remembered that the ECM has a self-test mode, and I ran the self test and all solenoids including the AIC are working correctly.

More and more I'm thinking TPS woes; even though it Ohmed out okay, I'm going to try Bernie's suggestion of jumpering the connector.
