This question comes up alot here I think (I would know, I asked it once). I know Gavin is one person who had it done by a mechanic and it didn't take too long (just alot of labor). I'm going to attempt the change over this summer by using a donor car and some new parts.

PS. Quasi motors has tutorials on how to do all the work on the 5 speed and automatic. You can bascially get a good idea from there on what you need to do.
