I had a similar experience in one of my 900s many years ago. My alternator quit near Philadelphia as I was driving home to Baltimore from Vermont. I called my husband and he drove up to meet me. We drove down I95 to Baltimore in tandem, switching batteries every time the voltage in my 900 got too low to keep the car running.
