Saab is having a problem with the B235r engines blowing up soon after the warranty expires. Mine had 57,000 when it happened and the engine was completely stock. I think it's probably the engine management software issuing a spark command too soon and forcing a preignition, thus cracking the piston. Even though you don't want to piss anyone off, you sure have a sanctimonious tone. Why buy a fairly expensive performance automobile if you're not going to stretch its legs from time to time?
