Not me or my wife. She is the only one that can't remember details of the last oil change. Believe me, I can't believe it either.
At any rate, the point of my post was the circumstances. I realize it's tough to prove, but how in the heck does this car run fine up until it goes into the body shop. At which point, the oil light comes on for the first time ever (to my knowledge of owning vehicle) and shortly after suffers serious engine damage due to having no oil.
I mean, since I didn't get any detailed response yet, the only possibility other than the body shop draining it would be that somehow someway the car wasn't filled with enough oil at last change. Then, miraculously it would have burned/loss just enough oil over months to reach a point of no oil miraculously just minutes after leaving the shop. Sorry, within my current knowledge of oil/car I just don't buy that scenario. Where there is smoke there is fire, and I really think these guys drained the oil. If they didn't, who did? Could it have been the tow company tipping the car on edge too far?
