Not sure about the price cuz I've never priced out an engine swap, but it SEEMS a little on the high side - especially for a used engine (not rebuilt).
Did you check the "Mechanics" section of the website? There's a lot of recommendations by members broken down by State. If you're in NH I can tell you where I would check out.
I would do a new post on the subject of an engine swap too - instead of continuing this thread for it. I notice that people tend to ignore older threads after a few days because of how the default format is when you come to this board (it gets further and further down the list).
