LOL. No that's another complaint I found online from another old customer.
... and I hear what some of you guys are saying. However, I'm just asking to look at it from both angles. Like my discussion with Justin (good SAAB guy from Melbourne). The thing is, this situation is NOT entirely good either way.
1) If I keep the car and part it out I'll have to get all that back here (no room for storage). Also, I'll have to find another car that I feel good about. Other than the engine I feel I know this SAAB. Also, recently sunk an additional $1000 (deductible for bodywork) and new tires into the car. Also, they could break or not give me back all the parts.
2) If I take it to another SAAB indy, the same applies but worse. Most of these guy do NOT like working on a car ripped apart for they don't really know if they'll get all the parts in working order.
I need to face the fact that because of one small mistake these guys really have me over a barrel. Also, even though it's hard to do I'm trying to face the idea that they *may* just be able to complete the job OK. They have been in business since '72, etc. however I know what you are saying given the BBB record and such. I'm also thinking that if I continue to watch them close as I can and grill them about all the parts I might come out better. Basically give them hell so that they will be compelled to do the job right and get me out of their hair. That's my strategy anyway. I know it's not easy, but it just might work. The alternative ideas have variables that I won't be able to control at all. If they are really dirty, I probably wouldn't be able to stop them from giving me all the parts back or not damaging some on purpose. KNow what I'm sayin'?
