Thanks for all the replies!
This would be my wife's car...she'd be driving it most of the time.
We're in RI. I guess my safety questions were more of a comparison to the Volvos, as I always knew that Saab's were a very safe car! I believe the 2001 I drove was comparible to the new ARC(so the salesman said..)Premium pkg., onstar, heated saets, all power, etc. I was impressed, needless to say! They were asking $20,995. Had 42K on the odometer and was a lease car from the south (somewhere). That price seemed kind of high to me, but again, I'm a newbie and will be looking around alot more...Speaking of which, Has anyone ever heard of Saabway.com?? Is it worth it to buy a car this way??
