I understand what you are saying. I also live in CT and a while back there was a thought to abolish the state recycling deposit rule. Apparently there is millions of dollars in unclaimed bottle deposits. I personally think it is easier to pute the cans in with my recycling. Most weeks someone will drive around and pick out all of the bottles and cans out of the recycling bin before it gets picked up. So at least someone gets the money. As for comments others have made about the cost of recycling centers, they are actually profitable and are run for that reason. It cost more to mine alluminium than it does to use recycled alluminium.
