Enjoying this thread, but very confused about the "...talk to your congressmen!..." And "at least height restrictions"...?
I don't get it. Maybe it was humorous, not sure.
I must say though - owning both a Saab and a 2500HD Silverado (I tow 5 tons of boat around behind it in the summer), I do get a kick out of people that have a built-in stereotype about truck people. I have to own the truck, so I guess I'm not the classic truck-guy. For me its a necessary tool.
But people that hate the truck crowd, zipping around and trying to teach us a lesson in little cars... Hmmmm...
I weigh 7000pounds without any load. No matter who's right, unless you are a quad-axle dump truck, I win. When I'm in that truck, I don't zip around and try to teach quad-axle dump trucks a lesson.
I agree with everyone that there are a lot of truck owners that are into the lifestyle, consider themselves invicible and drive like an a$$. I just don't understand other car drivers that try to fight with them. Nor do I understand other drivers that impose the stereotype on me. And if provoked too far, I don't have any problem running my 7000pounds up to their bumper.
I also don't understand the idea of restricing height in a parking lot. What's that about?
