The lifestyle choice is the boat - the truck is the necessary tool. I'm certain you'll agree that my original statement was accurate.
For the previous anonymous poster, who's thread will expire - stated that riding the bumper is exactly the problem...and for Craig who commented on the win statement...
I guess "win" was a mistake. My apologies. It's not so much that the bigger vehicle wins as it is the smaller vehicle loses.
Please don't misunderstand. I don't like the nature of many pickup truck owners either. And my point wasn't that people shouldn't dislike the ones that drive badly.
My point was that a car that tries to scold a big truck is a sign of really low IQ driver. And for those that read my previous statements and think to themselves..."I'll scold them if I want to..." I pray for you.
The cars that do that to me when I'm in my truck do get to see my bumper. Never unprovoked mind you. Never, never, never. The message isn't to approve of truck drivers that drive badly. The message is - no matter what your vehicle, don't try to scold or make a point based on a stereotypical prejudice against a driver of a certain type of vehicle, especially not with one that is 3x your size.
I still don't understand what good it will do to put a height restriction on vehicles in a public parking lot.
And finally, I don't drive my truck much. It's no fun to burn that kind of fuel. That's why I have a Saab. But if I decide to drive my truck for any reason whatsoever, it is my decision. I do park far away because it's too hard to park my beast in the general population and nobody likes to come out of a store and see a truck like mine parked next to them. But for the times when you have to squeeze out past a Land Rover...is that really the maker of such a bad day? Don't we have bigger problems to solve in this world?
Call your congressman - absolutely. But please pick a more pressing topic. Don't you agree?
