It is not just Saab dealers but many other dealers as well. I have heard this for years. You buy from one dealer from out of the area because it is less expensive, or it has the options you want and you don't have to wait and the dealer that is "local" gives you a rash of stuff to fix the car because you didn't buy it from him. This is just typical and usually requires a call to the corporate custormer service number (in the owners manual) to straighten out.

Also, (of course I am one of those very skeptical people), has anyone thought the maybe the second dealer intended to not only charge the owner, but also the other dealer and thereby increase his profit? Hmmmm....greed + opportunity = owner getting taken (and in this case the other dealer too!) I do not trust car salesmen (either new or used) the majority (not all, I have met a few that are on the up and up) of them in my experience are shysters and I believe there is a special place in He** for them.
