Going the Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) route seems more cost-effective, if you factor in that you will significantly reduce repair costs because Saab's warranted is extended to 100,000 miles from 50,000, or up to 6 years from the date that it was first put into service vs. 3 years for a new car.
Having gone that route myself with my 9-3, and being forced to deal with a variety of service-related issues, I've ultimately saved money on what it probably cost (~$1,250) to get a CPO car vs. one that's got no such coverage.
IMHO, it's a smart move to make
