Another example of the me generation where the thinking is that "it's me who is important, not the laws or the safety of others, I should be allowed to decide when it's approriate or convenient to disregard the law".
In my town I pay taxes to fund enforcement and I expect the police to ticket or warn violators whenever they see a violation - whether it be a busy or non busy intersection is completely irrelevant, a stop sign means stop.
And I'm 100% in favor of photo cameras at red lights, good way to make driving safer for everyone by penalizing drivers who habitually run red lights.
