You should have called the police. Conscience is a dime a dozen. A few years ago someone backed into my 94cde. My son was driving, or rather parked or sitting in a parking lot, the exact detail I never found out. He was in his college campus. Another student backed her car onto the front driver side wheel. There was no body damage. The wheel was slightly bent. It turned out the whole steering rack was wrecked but it was not apparent when it happened.

My son simply exchanged phone numbers with her, not even driver license, insurance or any other information. What happened later? You guessed it. She would not even answer the call and my son never found out her name.
