One other option not mentioned so far would be to try the regional/area manager. They will have MUCH more clout than the store manager. Also they will likely have resources to dip in to that don't affect the individual stores profit. If you do go this route I would advise being very careful with your language. Don't used terms like "wrecked", just state the case precisely but firmly and say that you need them to fix the problem. Don't mention small claims unless you get nowhere with the regional manager. Then just politely ask for the corporate office address in order to file against them.
